Uruz calls up the strength of the wild ox, called aurochs in ancient times and also known as "wisent" (European bison), to overcome obstacles and challenges. It was an important rite of passage to hunt one. It also reminds us that in times of trial, we have the strength of all our ancestors standing behind us.

The horn-ed beast I hunt alone
Courage in my blood and bone

Ancestors from of old come join me in the quest
Wisdom waits for victory -- aurochs is my test
