about

The magic of calling in the mists to protect Avalon happens twice. First, when the priestess Caillean and several others must pull Avalon away from Glastonbury in order to protect it from Christian zealots and Roman invaders who would destroy all the Old Ways (in the Mists of Avalon prequel trilogy). Second, when Avalon herself retreats so far into the mists that even Morgaine cannot find her way back with her dying brother. This piece was written based on the first instance, but it seems to fit the flow of music and energy better for the second instance here near the end of the story.
