Seven Holy Isles

from Faces of the Goddess by Cathy McManamon

/

about

In the early days of Avalon, Caillean taught the young priestesses and druids about the seven holy isles, seven holy sites throughout Britain that mirrored the layout seven main stars in the Bear constellation and were all connected by the land and Avalon. The Isle of Glass (Glastonbury Tor), the Isle of Brigantia (the goddess of the British Isles), the Isle of Wings (home of the winged god and fen folk), the Isle of the Marches (defender of the Vale of Avalon), the Isle of the Oak (home of the Holy Oak sacred to the druids), the Isle of Pan (home of the wild god of the hills), and the Watch Hill (gateway to Avalon). All the themes are written off of the intro of "Isle of Glaes", a piece from 2019's "From Mist and Shadow" album.
